Personal Narrative Outline

The place that I have decided to write about is the wrestling room that we used to practice in back when I wrestled in middle school and high school. I chose this place because it is a very specific location in which I spent a lot of time and have many memories in. The room itself was nothing special, it was a relatively small room with a low ceiling made out of three blue wrestling mats put together. While small, we were still able to cram some 50 odd guys of varying ages in there for two plus hours for each practice, which often resulted in the room getting extremely hot.

    One of the times I plan to write about is when I participated in a wrestling camp were we spent 8 hours a day for four days inside that small room. I remember going through this camp with my friends Philippe, Ryan, and Brennan, as well as the teacher of the camp, a former olympian. We would spend hour upon hour going through various drills and exercises, and by the time we were done I could barely lift my arms. At the time I was a freshman in high school.

    Another time I intend to write about is whenever we would mess around before practice started. The location and description of the room itself would remain the same, but what would differ is the atmosphere described. Whenever we were getting ready tp practice there was a much more relaxed and carefree attitude compared to during practice. During this time, a lot of the guys would mess around and chase each other around, wrestle, or gang up on eachother. I remember one time where two of the smaller guys on the team jumped on me at once before practice. The people I was with will be the same as from my other stories, and this also happened while I was a freshman.

    The last memory I plan on writing about is on etime in the locker room after practice. We would always be drenched in sweat and exhausted whenever we finished practice, so it always felt great to be able to strip off your clothes and hop in a shower. One time me and the other freshmen, Including ryan, Nick, and Tyler had a full on conversation about our favorite PLaystation 2 games, and at one point started singing the song, “Whats Going On?”
